How to read this file
Each sheet is one historical or technical claim. Patents prove apparatus language. Direct tests prove a result under stated conditions. Builder reports prove that a community existed. Adjacent papers prove neighboring science. Court records prove legal dispositions. None of those classes, by itself, is a construction manual. Safety boundaries and archival-plan context live on the safety page.
Every sheet, in one list
US 5,794,601 documents a fuel pretreater
Patent language · Primary technical source. US5794601A, issued 18 August 1998 to Paul Pantone, describes a volatilization chamber, an exhaust-heated reactor tube, a coaxial rod, counter-current flow, and delivery of treated vapor to fuel-burning equipment. The title is “Fuel Pretreater Apparatus and Method.” The patent expired on 16 May 2017.Source: US5794601A on Google Patents. That Pantone disclosed and was granted claims for this apparatus. Filing (16 May 1997), grant, inventor name, and the functional regions named in the specification are on the public patent record. Independent efficiency, emissions, plasma formation, or multi-fuel performance. Patent issuance is not a test report.
The patent asserts heating “to a plasma condition”
Patent language · Inventor assertion in a primary source. The patent abstract says a pump draws fuel vapor through a reactor “to cause the fuel vapor to be heated to a plasma condition.” That is inventor language in the granted text, not a laboratory diagnosis of plasma.Source: US5794601A abstract. What Pantone claimed in the specification. Readers can quote the plasma sentence as patent language. That a distinctive passive plasma forms in a GEET tube, or that plasma is the working mechanism.
Carozzi et al. found mixed, inconclusive generator results
Direct test · Peer-reviewed, limited, mixed. The 2018 Journal of Agricultural Science paper “Evaluation of a Retrieved Pyrolithic Reactor to Be Used in Small Farms,” with the underlying UNIOESTE thesis, tested a small generator with a GEET-style pyrolytic reactor. Common automotive gasoline plus water increased consumption in that setup. One aviation-gasoline 25/75 gasoline-water condition reported 8.46% average efficiency versus 6.44% with aviation gasoline alone. The authors called the results inconclusive and asked for more work.Source: Carozzi et al. (2018), Journal of Agricultural Science. That a directly relevant peer-reviewed experiment exists, that common-gasoline-plus-water was not efficient here, and that the authors themselves declined a general success claim. That GEET saves fuel in ordinary automotive use, or that water supplied net energy.
Martz 2001 is a student thesis, not a journal result
Direct test · Thesis / limited measurement. Christophe Martz’s 2001 ENSAIS work is often cited for large reductions in some measured pollutants and a small fuel-use change on a non-optimized setup. Community archives host the material. The thesis reported mixed observations, said few Pantone claims were verified, and recommended further work.Source: ENSAIS / Martz archive at econologie.com.That a French engineering-school study of a modified system exists and that its author did not treat Pantone’s full claim set as verified. A replicated 90% pollution reduction as a general GEET result, or that the setup matches the 1998 patent exactly.
Gillier-Pantone is a related water-doping family, not the full patent
Builder report · Historical community record. French experimenters developed water-doping variants commonly called Gillier-Pantone systems. Plans, kits, and municipal or farm reports circulated. Those systems differ from Pantone’s full fuel-pretreater arrangement. Community scale is historically important; it is not a substitute for calibrated before/after testing.Source: Evidence review: French thesis and builder literature. That a durable experimental community existed, especially in France, and that “Gillier-Pantone” should not be silently equated with US5794601A. Repeatable extraordinary fuel savings, or that a bubbler water percentage is the fraction of engine energy supplied by water.
Thermochemical recuperation is real — and not a GEET certificate
Adjacent science · Established neighboring engineering. Sheintuch, Nekhamkina, and Tartakovsky (2023) in ACS Engineering Au modeled and tested structured, catalyst-coated reformer heat exchangers with selected fuels and controlled temperatures. Waste-heat fuel reforming is legitimate engineering. Catalyst, kinetics, heat-transfer area, fuel, and operating conditions are essential.Source: ACS Engineering Au (2023).That exhaust-heat reforming exists as a researched technology under controlled conditions. That a passive GEET tube without those conditions achieves the same chemistry or the inventor’s efficiency claims.
Water injection can change combustion; water is not net fuel
Adjacent science · Review of an established technique. A 2019 Energy Conversion and Management review describes knock, combustion-temperature, efficiency, and emissions effects of water injection that vary by engine, load, and method. Water can change combustion. Ordinary water is not a combustible energy source.Source: Water-injection review (2019).That water in the intake or charge is a studied engineering practice with condition-dependent results. That a GEET bubbler ratio is energy from water, or that an engine can derive most of its energy from water.
Mostly-water operation is not demonstrated as energy from water
Builder report · Unverified / inconsistent with ordinary energy accounting. Community reports sometimes describe mostly-water or 80% water operation. A percentage of water in a bubbler or feed mixture is not the percentage of engine energy supplied by water. Fuel vaporization and preferential consumption must be measured separately.Source: Evidence matrix: energy from water. That the claim exists in builder and promoter literature and that it is a distinct, stronger claim than “some water is present.” That the engine derives most energy from water.
Pantone pleaded guilty to two securities-fraud counts
Legal record · Court disposition. On 8 October 2004 Paul Pantone pleaded guilty in Utah to two counts of second-degree securities fraud; other counts were dismissed under the plea. A later competency finding led to confinement at Utah State Hospital, with contemporary reporting placing release in 2009. Pantone v. Hansen was dismissed in 2010 on immunity and pleading grounds.Source: Pantone v. Hansen dismissal order. The legal disposition, competency-related confinement as reported, and the federal dismissal. A guilty plea is not a dynamometer result. That GEET works, that GEET fails, or that energy interests caused the case.
Suppression-because-it-worked is an allegation, not a finding
Legal record · Attributed allegation. Supporters have argued that Pantone was prosecuted or confined because GEET worked. Prosecutors described an investment-fraud case. No available court document establishes that the proceedings were caused by the technical success of GEET or coordinated by an energy interest. Salt Lake City Weekly reported competing accounts of hospital treatment.Source: Salt Lake City Weekly contemporary reporting. That a suppression narrative exists in advocate writing and that the accessible legal record does not adopt it as a finding. A coordinated campaign against a working device.
FAQ
Does the GEET reactor work?
It is a documented fuel-pretreater design with plausible heat-exchange and vaporization effects. Published testing is sparse and mixed. It does not establish a unique plasma mechanism, mostly-water fuel, zero emissions, or extraordinary efficiency.
What is a GEET reactor?
Global Environmental Energy Technology is Paul Pantone’s name for an exhaust-heated fuel pretreater. US 5,794,601 (1998) describes a volatilization chamber, reactor tube, coaxial rod, and counter-current exhaust heat. The patent expired in 2017.
Did Paul Pantone invent an engine that runs on water?
No established energy accounting shows an engine deriving most of its energy from water. A bubbler water percentage is not the fraction of shaft work supplied by water. Ordinary water is not a fuel.
Does US 5,794,601 prove GEET performance?
No. The patent proves that apparatus claims were filed and granted. It does not publish a controlled fuel-consumption dataset or independent replication.
What did the 2018 Brazilian study find?
Carozzi et al. reported that common automotive gasoline plus water increased consumption in their small-generator setup, while one aviation-gasoline condition was favorable. They called the results inconclusive.
Is this a construction guide?
No. The Reactor File is historical and technical source inspection. It does not publish step-by-step fuel, hot-exhaust, or improvised-reactor instructions. Archival plans, if consulted, are historical documents, not a safety certification.
